Big Scary Fun starting early, so don’t be late. Get the kids out to cause havoc early and get on down to the Viking for some harrowing rock and roll.
Cerveza Muscular announces the release of our first studio recording, now available on CD. Two live videos of songs from the CD are now posted on this site. Huge thanks to Terry Katzman who produced the CD, and to Will Maravelas from 14:59 Studios for the recording, mix and master. We had a great time working with Will and Terry. Ricky at CopyCats was extremely helpful in completing the project. Molly Gates art is excellent, and makes a great T shirt.
Thanks to everyone that came out to our CD Release show at First Avenue’s Seventh Street Entry, it was the second time we’ve been fortunate enough to play that room, opening for Richey Ramone on our third gig ever. Thanks to Ross and Eli for their help, Ross had all the bands sounding great. Thanks to Rank Strangers, Blackbird Bridge and Howling Andy Hound and The Blood Shot for joining us on the bill.
Thanks to Barely Brothers Records in Saint Paul, Spencer and Mike are second to none when hosting an in store show. We had a great time playing with Ringout! and The Silverteens, three scorching sets to fill the record store throughout a Saturday afternoon.
HiFi Hair In Store, Friday May 19th, 6:00 PM.
And finally, Cerveza Muscular’s next show is an in store at HiFi Hair and Records, a great store founded by John Kass and Johnny Clifford between Loring Park and The Basilica in downtown Minneapolis. It’s a great little store, come on down and help us fill the place.
